Physics Department plays a key role in an engineering field. It is the essential platform for catering the basic needs for all branches of engineering students, so that they proceed to rest of their years of study with up to date knowledge and training of basic engineering skills. Physics laboratories have been very well established not only to cover complete syllabus but to motivate students to learn beyond the syllabus which definitely develops complete knowledge of the subject.
The teaching module in the laboratory comprises lectures, tutorials, discussion and practicals. The methodology adopted in the classroom teaching is based on application of innovative strategies, comprehensive lectures, regular assignments and interaction between teachers and students on regular basis.




The Physics Department was established in the year 2007 with the mission of imparting quality education in the field of physics at undergraduate course offered by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum for first year engineering students The departmental laboratory possesses excellent facilities and sophisticated equipments for the students during their course of study. The objective of our department is to provide quality education and to encourage the engineering students to strengthen their knowledge in the field of Physics. Dedicated, qualified and experienced staff members are the strength of our department.
